None of us has the right to shut down the comments of others -not through yelling, vulgarity, name-calling or rabid I'm-right-you're-wrong hyperbole. My intention was just a very minor and, I thought, innocuous observation. Sorry if it seemed wrong or distressing or even an attempt to revive something I was only vaguely aware of.

Buy a new hat, drink a good wine, treat yourself, and someone you love, to a new bauble, live while you are alive... you never know when the mid-town bus is going to have your name written across its front bumper!

Katrina an eyewitness perspective!
Well folks I,am going to add my 2 cents! Sure President Busch landed at the New Orleans Airport for a photo-op all public service and politicians do these things, no surprise there!!!Mr Busch did one thing that few in public office ever do though,he took full responsibilty for the Feds and State ,and local governments slow response. We as a nation were totally unprepared for a natural disaster of such enormus magnetude, this was much worse than even 911!I will not sit hear an armchair quarterback all of the remarks made in the article, don't know and thank God was not there as a victum! I hate to think that we still have a racist society and frankly I get tired of hearing the race card played so much.Iam a middle aged white/American Indian protestant man who somtimes feels liks he is the most hated creature on the planet!!! We seem to get blamed for everything and anything!!!Knowledge is hindsight and hopefully we as a Nation and as human beings will learn something this! One thing I know for sure, you can never be fully prepared for Mother Natures wrath.Hopefully we will be better prepared next time when a disaster like this again occurs. My hat goes off to all people regardless of who they are that have and are helping their fellow human beings in this terrible time.
