Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience ordering from billmyinsurance.com.
The site looks exactly like cpap.com, but it doesn't show prices and I can't find any links to actually purchase the items they allegedly sell on that site. If you click on "contact us," the page is blank. Plus, why would a cpap equipment provider have a name that's just "billmyinsurnace.com??" It's all very strange...
The only reason I'm looking at them is that I did a google search to find an online provider of DME that is in the BlueCrossBlueShield network; they claim that they are.

Re: Billmyinsurance.com
They no longer accept insurance assignments. I figure the site and domain was paid up and so was left. In fact it was part of cpap.com.

Re: Billmyinsurance.com
Hey guys,
I haven't been on the board in a while and just did a search to try and find out what is going on with BillMyInsurance.com. I read what's been posted and I must admit it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
Now that cpap.com requires a prescription, I figured it'd be easy for me to place a re-order as they had mine on file or else BillMyInsurance.com does (which I thought was the same company). They wrote back and told me that they don't have it on file and that if BillMyInsurance.com had it on file, I'd have to contact them to get it and then send it to cpap.com. Huh? And there's no way to contact BillMyInsurance.com on their website. But the CPAP.com person gave me an 800 number for BillMyInsurance.com but when I called there, it didn't sound like it was a CPAP supplier company but a call center that didn't understand what I was talking about at first.
I've often recommended both cpap.com and billmyinsurance.com to people and I guess I'm concerned about this. Is BillMyInsurance.com out of business? Was it sold or outsourced to another company?
Hrm, I just got a response from someone at CPAP.com: "No, we are not the same company. We have the same owner, but do not share records."

Re: Billmyinsurance.com
cpap com and billmyinsurnace are both owned by the same company - US Expediters.
They maintain a seperate corporate image so they that don't run into the same roadblocks regular dme provider do - namely the price setting by the insurance company. Since they are a seperate corporate image - cpap com can sell products at a lower price than the regular DME since they don't bill an insurance company (Insurance companies do not let anyone who bills them sell an item at a price lower than the insurance company has set for it).
Since billmyinsurance DOES bill insurance they would bill at the same rate that your local DME provider does since the price is set by the insurance company, they just don't have to worry about all the local, state and federal regulations that brick and motar DME companies do since they are an internet based business.
