S8 Hypo Allergenic Filters - Where to buy?

Post by SleepyInDC » Wed Jul 22, 2009 6:17 am

Anyone have a good source for them? CPAP.com doesn't carry them. I think the part numbers are 33919/33920/33921/33922 (depending on quantity)

Thanks.

Do you breath filtered air in the daytime (24/7)? I find the normal machine filters work quite well. Adding extra filters may change how the machines work, for nothing but extra cost. jim

#1 Those are not Resmed filters.

#2 REAL Resmed filters can be found here; http://www.montagemed.com/CPAP_products ... mit=submit

Don't bother with that link unless you live in California. They just sent me an E-mail saying they can only send products to California addresses, since their license only allows them to sell within that state.

I've used their filters for over a year, they are identical from what I can tell to the manufacturer's high priced ones. Since they are so inexpensive, you might give them one try to see for yourself.

I just placed an order with Montage Medical for those filters. I don't live in California, seems to be going through..

I've bought the ones from cpapfiltersandsupplies.com, and at least they fit the cap on my S8 correctly. The filter I got from the DME was bigger than the cap that fit on the back, so I'm not sure I know what a "real" Resmed filter looks like, but the cpapfiltersa.. one seems to work alright.

Ok, I put through an order with cpapusa.com. I'm interested in these outfits and the filters.. the filters I get from cfas.com don't appear like the image they show, and the image on cpapusa.com looks like the image on cfas.com. Hmm. The ones I got from cfas.com are white on the back and a mesh blue on the other, the pictures show a white mesh on one side and a tan on the other.

They are white and blue. The white layer is the thicker HEPAish part and the blue layer is just the larger particle filter. They seem to help my allergies.
