This is very helpful info. Thanks, all! I've been using the Activa for 3 months now. Love it, but i've been wanting to try something smaller and lighter. This looks like the one to buy.

Disclaimer: I have been using it only one night. However, there are others on this site who like it, too. Wading, Rested Gal, Sir Cumference, FMichael4, just to name a few. I just want to make sure you do all the reading on it before you go by this thread. This thread is nothing but positive. There are also people like WillSucceed who did not like the Aura at all.

Rested Gal's links she put together are featured now at the top of this page under "CPAP FAQ." If you want to do some more investigating, there are links there to all different masks, the Aura being one of them.

Also, a very recent thread I started, too, called Aura Temptation that I posted right before I made up my mind to try it has a lot of interesting viewpoints on it, also.

Let me know if you do end up going for it. I'd be interested to know how you like it.

Let me know how you like it on your stomach. I like that position best but if the Aura has something going over the head, I not sure how that would be like. Thanks for sharing your experiences (they are always filled with important details).

Many people have made a hose holder that goes behind the bed that has a swivel "O" on it so that no matter what way you turn, the hose is not a problem. Honestly? I can't see that being a problem, anyway, but I am an official side sleeper. I couldn't believe last week when I woke up and found I was on my back. I think that subconsciously comes from worrying about dislodging the pillows when you use the Swift if you push on the side that has the tube that connects to the nosepiece barrel. I may have been so tired during the night of waking to make sure the tube wasn't moving the nosepiece barrel, I just decided without thinking to lay on my back. I didn't think I ever did that.

I would hope someone like Wading sees this post and can answer better how the Aura is for stomach sleepers. I can guarantee you, I don't sleep on my stomach. Sorry.

I do not stomach sleep either but I have tried to lay on my stomach while wearing the aura and because the nasal seal is soft an the exhaust is up at your forehead and goes straight up, it works great in that position.

Lori I had felt a little guilty on a previous thread where I caused you to reconsider trying the Aura (instead of sticking with your twizzles :) now I'm glad that happened. So happy it appears it will work for you as well as it did for me. Here's an early welcome to the ranks of former swift now aura fans!

I also used aura straight from the box, with no deconstruction or adjustments at all. As others have said, I found it to be super light weight, extremely comfortable, holds a perfect seal, and ideal for every sleep position. It is the perfect mask for me. I hope it continues to be for you too.

Hey, when you're right, you're right. I am becoming more and more optimistic with each post I read about the fact that I will continue to have as great a night as I did last night from now on. The Aura was everything I wanted it to be. I just refuse to get excited because I don't want to jinx anything by doing that.
Did you also find your numbers were better with the Aura than with whatever mask you were using previously? I never had a 0 AHI before last night, and it cut the snores down by just under 75%. So far, so good...

I've gotten good AHI numbers with all the masks I've used and with the aura it's just as good or better than the rest. The key with the aura is that the more comfortable you are, the better you will sleep. The goal we all have is to try to minimize the number of times we wake-up each and every night. For me, the aura and an auto-pap do the best job of this.

Lori I second Waders comments. I had really great numbers with the swift too, although a tad better with aura. The biggest difference for me is comfort. Although I was happy with the swift, I didn't realize how much I woke up in the night with it (air hitting me or bumping the barrel) until I switched. I don't wake up with the aura and feel more rested because of it.

That is the main reason I needed something else. I found myself waking up lots of times during the night to either adjust the hose, whch I felt more comfortable leaving down, or because I would make sure I didn't push the barrel and cause the pillows to shift. That was what amazed me with the Aura last night, that there was no need to worry about that. And not to belittle the feeling on NOTHING on your cheeks or side of the face while you sleep. I haven't had that since I tried the Breeze back in either June or early July.

Since I was awakened by my son at 1:30, I don't know how long I would have slept without waking up last night. I think it's a habit and it may take some time to break. But tonight will be another night to give it a try. I'm just so afraid it's going to leak and then my bubble will be burst (RG...where are you???).

Thanks for your insight. Hoping to post another favorable report in the morning. From what you, Wading and RG say, it's a great interface. I want to WANT to be a permanent member of the Aura Club!!!!

Lori you have every reason to be optimistic for permanent membership. Unless your nares and head changed shape and size since last night (I'm thinking not likely...), there is no reason why it won't be another great night.

I don't think I've warped since last night (hasn't been that hot) or grew, so maybe I'm okay? I just can't fathom that nothing will go wrong. The eternal optimist in me. Actually, with everything else, I don't think like this. But when everyone else is raving about something therapy-related, I'm usually the one in the background going, "Am I doing something wrong???"

I'll tell you a funny quick thing that happened before. Rock & Roll is now thinking about getting an Aura, but it would be out-of-pocket for him, too. But he is getting persuaded by all the positive comments he has read.

He made a post on Aura v Swift that if he hears of one more person who uses the Aura without any contraptions that use pantyhose or pantyliners and likes it, he may just have to get one. I replied, "seamaiden." I believe his goose is now cooked, or his Aura is on the horizon...
