rescan 3.7 and using results

Post by 678 » Wed Jun 24, 2009 7:54 am

How do I get my information from the Rescan software to you on cpaptalk for evaluation. I can write all the stuff down and put it on here but I thought there was probably a way to copy the data.

graph and result images need to be screen shots inserted using the IMG button.

Data graphs have to be saved in a format that will allow uploading to a host. I use Photobucket (it is free) and I use jpeg file type screen shots. There is a way to do it with converting to pdf files but I haven't done that. Screen shots are easier for me.

I take a screen shot, crop it, save it to desktop as jpeg file. Then I go to Photobucket and upload it there. Then I get the img location code and insert it using the IMG button

Use the preview button to make sure it shows up.

It sounds more difficult than it really is. The images are especially important for seeing the leak rate graphs, if we seem to be having some oddball results or numbers.

If we need the images and you can't get it figured out how to do them, private message me and we will work something out until you can figure out how to put the images on the board.

if you know where your Windows temp folder is, all the graphs, plus the HTML page that is the actual report, can be found in a subfolder called "TempReports". Each graph file is a .jpg.

What? What? This is something I have never heard of, never encountered, never found.

Can anyone provide more information regarding the what, when, how, where and why of this?

Pugsy/678/Velbor,

Do you use the data card reader or the USB cable with the ResScan 3.7 software?
I have the USB Cable and can not download data.

I cannot help with ResMed software issues. I have Respironics. I only offered to help getting the images uploaded here. Sorry but I am clueless.

Velbor,

On my windows Vista machine, I located these files at: C:/Users/<your username>/AppData/Local/Temp/TempReports/

OK, here's what I've been able to determine on Windows XP:

When I create a ResScan report, and only then, the following folder comes into existence:
C:/Documents & Settings/<your username>/Local Settings/Temp/TempReports
and this folder does contain the full report as Report.html as well as multiple .jpg files of the individual graphs, as noted above.

As soon as I close ResScan, all of this immediately disappears.

That's why they're called temporary files.
