Opinions on Nationwide Medical.
Who here has experience whether good or bad with Nationwide Medical as their DME provider?
Re: Opinions on Nationwide Medical.
No love for the superjet I see!
Re: Opinions on Nationwide Medical.
Doesn't seem like your attitude toward the board has changed in the last year.

Re: Opinions on Nationwide Medical.
I haven't posted in a year, and was asking a legitimate question regarding how patients feel they've been treated by a DME model which operates differently than the norm. I do like to look back and laugh at that thread though.

I have lived chatted several times w/SuperJet and he has been a tremendous help as well as at times a great source of humor. He is a valuable source from the sleep medicine community and the time he spends in the forum and chat is greatly appreciated by most of us.
I certainly get more education and assistance from the sleep medicine professionals who take their time to comment in the forum on occasion than from a sleep deprived grump and I resent their being treated in an insulting manner or their comments being deleted by a sleep deprived grump.
WE lose a valuable resource when we drive them away. I am not one who has a particularly high opinion of the medical profession. But not all are educated idiots. There are a few good ones out there and those who take the time to participate in this forum and live chat are appreciated.

If Slinky vouches for you, you are good with me.

I will vouch for him too.
He can be rude and abrasive but I feel the heart inside is good and he has provided help in the past to those in chat.

As far as hearts, they are impossible for humans to judge, so my standard position is to assume they are all good. Of course, still proceed with caution and do a lot of verification.
I guess no one has experience with Nationwide Medical.

Re: Opinions on Nationwide Medical.
I found a couple threads on here where patients had experience, but it appeared to be billing error related. Either way, reviews thus far have not been as favorable as I would have liked.
Re: Opinions on Nationwide Medical.
Gee, from the title, *I* thought this was gonna be about Obamination's plans for nationwide socialized medical welfare.
Sorry, never heard of the DME.

Re: Opinions on Nationwide Medical.
I realize that I'm VERY late to the game on this one, but here's my two cents:
The last time I updated my machinery, I let somebody refer me to Apria. (You can read my entire Apria nightmare here: http://mootepointe.haydoug.com/categories/Apnea.aspx.) I was determined not to repeat that experience. Doing some research, I stumbled across Nationwide Medical on the web.
Thank god I did!

Nationwide is the first DME experience I've had where somebody was actively working with me to get exactly what I wanted - and fast:
- --They gave me the specific wording for my Rx, to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted.
--Upon hearing the results of my sleep study, they emphatically responded, "We've got to get the CPAP to you ASAP!" My new CPAP and accessories arrived in less than two weeks from when I got my Rx.
--They called me back to make sure that my equipment arrived, everything was there, and there wasn't any damage in transit.
--They told me that they're going to call me before reordering supplies. (This was a peeve of mine with Apria. They insisted on automatically sending replacement supplies without asking me what I actually wanted.)
