How to set pressure

Post by jnp323 » Thu Sep 08, 2005 2:12 pm

Does anyone know how to set the pressure on a Devilbiss 9001D? My DME won't divilge this information and I don't want to send it back. Thanks!

Devilbliss is not a machine that many people seem to use at this forum. You might try another forum, as its sponsor does sell your machine. It is quite common for any DME to not provide you with the clinician's manual or tell you how to set the pressures for any cpap machine. The on line companies provide the clinicians manual, but there is a statement at the front of that manual from the manufacturer that tells the seller to remove the manual when the product is delivered to the customer.

jnp323,

I don't know anything about the Devilbiss 9001D, but if it's like other machines (and laser printers), you can get into the configuration/setup by holding a couple of the buttons down as you power it up (or plug it in). Usually it's two buttons that are next to each other. I did look up that model on the Internet and it seems to have its buttons clustered about like other CPAP machines.....so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out which two by a process of elimination. Just be sure to hold them down for as long as it takes for the machine to come up.....I believe with some machines, you get a "beep".

Good luck,
