Taking mask off in middle of night

I've been removing my mask. I found my machine has a leak alert feature which i turned on. So at least if i remove it now i get woken up and put it back on.

I have one of those on mine, but it isn't loud enough to wake me. Also, I think I have subconsciously learned to remove the mask, sit it carefully on the nightstand and turn off the machine and not remember a thing.

I have not removed my mask in a while but i found i did it most in my first 2 months of treatment. My doctor started me off at a pressure of 7cm even though i was titrated at 10cm. I think i was removing my mask because i was not getting enough pressure and was finding it difficult to breath. Once i increased it I stopped taking it off. Of course it could just be coincidence. But you might want to see where you are with your pressure?

Oh, I think I am good with pressure. The problem has since resolved itself when I switched to the Liberty about a week ago. Just sharing what I was doing and how that I agreed there is a mask alert feature, but wasn't loud enough for me. I think it's because of the fan I run.

Hi! I do the same thing sometimes. I have a cat who insists on chewing my hose! So, after I yell at it for a while, I take my mask off and hide it under a blanket or something. And sometimes the hose disconnects from the machine and I try to put it back in while I'm half asleep. (I think the hose is the wrong hose for this machine. But I'll keep it for now.) And I had to go back to my old mask because the new mask leaks air where it connects. And there's nothing there to adjust it like my old mask. You gotta do something about your cat chewing on your hose!!!! He is causing air leaks in your hose and that's why you feel your'e suffocating!!! Or losing a lot sleep......

One of my cats loves to chew on my hose, too. I just put a tube wrap on to help with rainout and with the hope the cat will stop biting the hose. At least he won't put a hole in it with the tube wrap on ... I hope!
