If she doesn't, you best save yourself time and pain (and maybe money too) and start looking for another ... and there are lots available, you just have to be patient in your search (just like fishing ).
Catch and release?
Riv,
The smoke (from outside) won't affect your machine. But, only you will know over time whether she's a "keeper" or whether you'll want to throw her back and try for another (staying with the "fish" analogy). Whether a person smokes or not shouldn't be THE measure of their acceptability. Give it some time and you'll know for sure.

They didn't, they died by 40, so did most people during medieval and later times. The reason they set retirement at 65 a hundred years ago is because the average person (especially the workers) didn't live that long - they didn't have to pay many pensions.
You are basically telling him to make a suicide pact.

Can this smell get into my BPAP? Get into my lungs when I inhale the room air through my mask? Mess up the workings and the sensors of my machine?
Is there a way to get the smell of cigarettes out of an apartment or bedroom?

OMG I had to go read. What an attitude.
I also saw exact same smoking smell questions and comments today showing on the apneasupport.org board under a different ID name. He has had 2 responses since posting late last night.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Well, I hope that during a moment of weakness, you have
one more cigarette "for the road", you accidently catch your face on fire, and when the firemen come along, they try to put the fire out with their axes.
Have a Muffy Day!

Right they didn't live long enough for it to affect them majorly - we do live longer then 40.
However if you don't plan to live that long go ahead and smoke.
