I slept for 5 1/2 hours straight with apap last night!!!! Yay, the most I made it to before was 3 1/2 hours. Slept with the comfort gel. For some reason it has been very comfortable.

Seagull, I'm so happy for you. Can you teach me how to go 5 1/2 hours? I'd love it...

I also had a good night last night...for the first time....I went to sleep at 12 midnight and never even moved or woke up until the alarm went off at 7am...I couldn't believe it. I was shocked...I hope this is the start of more nights like that....but I doubt it.

Hey seagull....good luck again tonight.....

Okay. Kindly forward to me any forms necessary to register for that club. I want to sleep through a night every now and then, too. That has NEVER happened, where I went to bed and woke up the next morning to my alarm. How long does a girl have to wait???

Don't get me wrong, Linda (and Seagull), couldn't be happier for you both. But I want to be happy for me, too !!!!

sleepless, how long do you sleep with it on?
I seem to feel calmer the day after a "good" night.
The comfort gel is feeling very comfortable and I am not ready to switch back to the swift.

Seagull,
I sleep every night since I started therapy with it on ALL NIGHT, never have missed a minute except for trips to the bathroom. And lately things are just getting worse and worse, like I'm going backwards.
I had tried auto and was blaming higher AHI's and feeling tired on the fact that auto did not work as well as straight CPAP for me. I switched back (last night was the third night) and have only had one good AHI so far but still feel tired and am not sleeping hardly at all.
I may have to look further into what is happening now, after three months of wonderful energy and great AHI's. I don't want to say my AHI is "bad," but it's higher and I'm feeling it. I felt last night like almost getting out of bed, I was up so many times for what felt like no reason. I am not comfortable anymore and don't know what is going on. Maybe my PLMD is acting up?
In any event, I am getting delivery on the 13th (long wait) from this site of the Aura interface. Not getting crazy optimistic about it, but I am thinking maybe it's time for a change in interface. Maybe that will help me sleep better. Swift and I must not be getting along very well lately or something is just at a bad stage with me.
Does this happen to people? I've read some posts where this question has been asked. Maybe I should post it again: Does there come a time in your therapy where you seem to regress and don't feel as well or sleep as well or is this cause to see the doctor?
I am very happy you're feeling well, though. Keep sleeping as good as you have been with your comfort gel mask. No leaks, eh? And it doesn't get in your way when you side sleep or you don't side sleep?

Lori, the last few nights I was sleeping well (the software reported) but I was waking up tired and dragging through the day.

Yesterday afternoon I started to develop post-nasal drip and a sore throat along with that achey all-over feeling. I guess I've got a virus, and that's probably what had me down the days previous.

My point is that it might be something else going on. Allergies, cold, stress, the weather, whatever.

Maybe it is your PLMD or a problem with your therapy, but it could be something else, altogether.

Bill,

I am starting to think it is something unrelated, although why wake me up so many times during the night all of a sudden when I'm not ill yet? I guess patience will help me over the next day or so until I see what is in store for me, SBD problems or something totally unrelated.

Thanks for your input. I hope you feel better with that virus.

My kids had it first and it passed quickly for them. I'm hoping it'll be fast for me too.

I couldn't get comfortable at all with the comfort gel last night. First the straps, then the fit on the face, then leak under the eye, ugh. Today I napped with the swift. Will stick with the comfort gel for now though, (it is drying out from washing). It seems I only had energy my first few days of cpap. I start revving up energy wise about 10 pm. Then it is hard to get to sleep and I don't stay asleep even with lunesta.

sleepless, the comfort gel is very comfortable on my side, except for the hose. I am a total side sleeper. Side to side to side.

Seagull,
You sound like me. I'll let you know how the Aura works for us side sleepers when it arrives. They're saying, the 13th.

Sorry last night wasn't as good as the night before. But at least you know you can have those nights every now and then. Something to be happy about.
