Need Mask suggestions for a petite nose...please

I wanted to update you all. After trying on about 10 different masks and finding that none of them really hit the bridge of my nose in just the right spot (maybe it's because it's so darn tender right now) I decided on going ahead and trying the Swift LT for her nasal pillows in size XS. Well she tried it on a higher setting than what I'm prescribed just to test for leaks and none and it even felt loose so that was good. I tried it while laying down and tossing and turning around. I probably looked like a goofball tossing and turning but I didn't care I wanted to test it out fully!! As if I were really sleeping with it on! It moved around with me quite nicely and stayed put but the real test will come tonight when I actually sleep with it. I cannot sleep entirely on my back, let's just say it hurts to sleep only on my back so side sleeping is the best for me. But I will say that I it felt sooooo comfortable!! Compared to the nasal masks. Much better than when I first tried on one of the nasal pillows in my sleep study. He tried a Small on my in Sleep study and maybe that had something to do with it and I need an XS but I just didn't like it then. I really think this is gonna work. Wish me luck!!

Finding the right mask and having it fit properly is the hardest part of this therapy.

You were so right to give it as good a trial as you could while at the Providers!

A friend just acquired the IQ nasal mask yesterday, and I'm waiting to hear how she likes it. It sure looks like it'd be comfortable and would be an easier fit for most anyone, thanks to the gel-filled cushion. I love my Swift LT but, if I needed to switch, I'd try one of these.

The designs do look great - until I clicked on the fitting information and saw the sketch of the headgear. Yikes! The headgear looks like a cap which is not my idea of making CPAP more acceptable. I think I'd feel like an old granny. That's probably why I want to try the LT for women when I can get a new mask through my insurance.

It looks to me like they offer different options for headgear. If the "cap" doesn't suit you, they have other styles available.

hjjsnell, I also LOVE the Swift LT for Her--it's the only mask I have used and it is WONDERFUL! I don't think I could use a full face mask or a nasal mask that could hurt the bridge of my nose--read too many horror stories!

Do any of you who use the Swift LT for Her have allergies or sinus problems? I have previously read that pillows style masks are not good for people with frequent nasal congestion. How do you feel about this?

Luckylinda - I hope this isn't the case. I have severe sinus problems. I've had sinus surgery for it a couple years ago, that was helpful for a couple years but I'm to the point now where I may need it again for more issues. I don't constantly have nasal congestion mine is all "in my head" so to speak. Or in my face if you will. My sinuses are always clogged and congested but not always my nose. I do nightly saline rinses with my Neilmed and don't have too much of a problem with nasal congestion but it still doesn't completely cut out all the sinus congestion. I hope the Swift LT for her doesn't cause more problems or worsen the ones I already have!

I used the Swift LT for Her for a while, but had to give it up due to sealing issues. However, I can tell you that when I was stuffy, and put this mask on, the air pressure actually helped to open my nasal passages. But when on a nasal mask, you don't feel the air pressure, so it didn't help when I was stuffy.
