We post because we care about other people - we don't stop caring.
And we also learn from each update.

(One week later) Well guys, it turns out the company accidentally gave me a leaf blower and sent my CPAP to home depot... no wonder I was having a problem!

I do have fears regarding the cause of the pain in my lungs, fears I think are legitimate. I'll find out more when I see the specialist
.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Kat Chatter! Sometimes a little distraction is therapeutic!!!! Thanks for not strangling kats and helping some animals out along the way!!!!

If you are having lung pain and your specialist appointment isn't today, more immediate action is warranted. If the specialist cannot see you today, a trip to the ETC with complaints of chest/lung/breathing distress will bump you to the top of triage and result in a work up. When I've gone to ETC for asthma exacerbation, I go straight to the top of triage ......because of potential life threatening events.........If you are having lung pain, that's not something to delay diagnosis and treatment of. Please get yourself seen today!

(Lovely kittens picture though!)
One of our cats has developed what we call Cat Napnea (honestly!). She sleeps on her back quite often and snores as loud as a lot of people I've heard. When she's not on her back, she still has these little pauses, makes this odd sort of breathing noise, and then goes back to sleep.

Hey, CharlesVer, how dare you apologize!! You kitten strangling, hose-taker-offer, snake in the grass! CharlesVer, you lousy, no-good, rotten, sneaky, person you! And don't tell me what to say to people, you $^&*( And I say this with your best intentions at heart! There. I flogged myself. But it was tough self-love.
(Wow. I do not like the way that last sentence sounded. It sounded like... never mind.)
Now we can put everything in the past.
.............before we move forward, can we stop for a minute........I don't think you really took my long ago advise......slow down, take a fresh breath of air and a reality check............dude, you have yourself so hyped up, you are flogging yourself and calling it tough love!!!! Really, please get your lung pain checked out....and remember people are trying their best to be helpful.....take what is helpful here and disregard the rest......otherwise, you may set yourself up for additional self and other floggin. Compassion gets thin with loss of control.

Charles...what is the pain like? Is it pain like when you almost but not quite choke on something? Or is it more of a muscular type pain? Many times when starting on CPAP, people will have upper chest and back pain...especially with a pressure as high as 16...you are taking deeper breaths at night on that machine, and thus your respiratory system, including your rib cage expands with your breathing, and can be felt as pain that is actually muscular in nature.

Great kitten photo, reminds me of the 90's when I came home from work to find 10 beautiful blue feline eyes eagerly peering at me from the window as I approached the door!!!!! I'm sure glad we love kittens considering the subject of this thread!!!!

In life, it is often a mistake to get drawn into trying to help people who don't want help from you.

You mean like Wall Street CEOs, banks too big to fail, and the auto industry?
