REMStar card reader useless without EncoreViewer?

I bought a smartcard reader for Respironics REMStar, but when I try to install ig with the CD that it came with, it tells me the CD can't be installed unless EncorePro is installed first.

Do I have to buy the software to use the card reader?

The card/reader is useless without the software and the software is useless without the card/reader.

What machine do you have? ... cuz card/reader and software may be useless unless you have the right machine too.

It's a REMstar Pro 2 Model 1020926.

The Pro2 does collect data so the program will help a lot. Encore Viewer Version 1.0 is the only thing that is sold to us now. Encore Pro was pulled from sale to anyone except a doctor or DME.

the file you want is Respironics - Encore Pro 1.8.iso
If you search "Respironics - Encore Pro 1.8.iso Torrent" and look for a file that is 674.1 MB in size that is the clean file. A .iso file is a virtual CD and may require software like Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools to use. Once you mount the virtual album, installation is just like a CD-drive. Look for the setup.exe file.
