Getting better

Post by lpeeler » Fri Sep 02, 2005 6:47 pm

I am now getting the hang of the CPAP.

I was waking up in the AM feeling swollen and drug-out all day. Worse than before I got on the CPAP. But I switched from the mask to Swift Mirage and got a BI-PAP and all is getting better.

I have had a stuffy nose and cough during the day, but when I put on the SwIft. I am fine all night. May be the pressure keeping my nasal passages open all night.

xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)

Great to hear you are doing better! I had the stuffy nose, cough and terrible sneezing with the integrated Remstar humidifier also. So I now have a separate Resmed Humidaire and that fixes the problem. I seem to get more humidity and warmth from the separate humidifier. I just don't like the space it takes on nightstand but the difference is worth it. Don't know if this is an option for you or not but it might be worth a try.
