To me that means you almost certainly are mouthbreathing when you sleep. CPAP air detouring into the mouth from back of throat when the tongue is not maintaining a "dam" to prevent that. If you're aware of that happening at times when "half awake", it's probably happening big time when you (including tongue, jaw, mouth) are in the fuller relaxation of sleep.
