First 100 days ...
During my first 100 days as an xPAP patient?
I discovered that sleeping tethered to an air was not only possible but actually fairly easy.
I ascertained that health care specialists do not necessarily have your best health interest as their priority.
I learned the art and science of titrating my own optimal xPAP settings.
I educated myself about the significant risks of not treating my OSA.
I experienced the wonderful benefits of successful OSA treatment.
So I give myself an A+ for my first 100 days as an xPAP patient.
(Many thanks to the forum members!!)

Re: First 100 days ...
I'm afraid my first 100 days would have garnered a miserable rating. But not nearly as bad as my then doctor, who I would give poor marks in the areas of education reform, and even poorer in health and human services.

I'm still living through my first 100 days and the jury is out as far as my grade. I know that I've earned an A for effort - at least in the areas of Compliance and Self Education. Astonishing effects of CPAP? Not so sure, although it's great to stop getting up to pee 4-5 times per night!!

CONGRATULATIONS on your first 100 days. Good for you, you cute little monkey! You're doing almost as well as our President
Sounds like a familiar list . . . After 2+ months I am amazed at how much I've learned and how well things are going in spite of the little tweaks I am still working on.
AGREED . . . this Forum is AWESOME

Re: First 100 days ...
Just to clarify ... my first 100 days ended over 2 years ago.
I just started the thread since some are making such a big deal about assessing success of change within 100 days ... for xPAP it is quite possible for some but for assessing other things .... maybe, maybe not.

Re: First 100 days ...
I was trying to figure out why you used the title you did to this thread since you've been a forum member for nearly three years....... Then it hit me that you were doing a comparison to the new administration in D.C. (OK, I'm a little slow sometimes)DreamStalker wrote:During my first 100 days as an xPAP patient?

But, yeah, your assessment is similar to mine. I spent a month or two reading the forums and doing research on this therapy before I started. Then, it was about another two months before I actually joined this forum.
And, near the end of my first 100 days on therapy, I started seeing my lowest AHIs (including a few nights of 0.0s), my length of sleep was significantly increasing and many things in my life were improving.
If I had to go back and start over, I don't think I would change a thing. I'm satisfied with the way things worked out.
I'm thankful that I started my therapy when the technology of data-capable XPAP machines was mature enough to benefit from that......and the availability of the software to see the results.
I'm especially thankful that CPAP.COM (and their great staff) was here to give me the final bits of information to help me make up my mind in choosing the equipment I've been using.
And, a special THANKS to Johnny for providing CPAPTALK.COM and all the folks who were on this forum when I found it.

You didn't get me! Now don't tell me your thinking about getting a Portuguese Water Dog, you have to be crazy to have one, I've been raising them since 1990 when the breed was rescued from extinction, just one of the many mistakes O has made, he's leading folks to believe this adorable breed is cooperative and easy to live with. Hah, can't wait to see BO at 18 months, (adolesence) what a hoot the reporters will have a field day!
