newbie - data screens on my machine

Post by socks349 » Wed Apr 29, 2009 5:28 am

Just received my machine (REMstar Pro) and had an OK first night, but I notice that there's next to no tracking info available on the screen. It looks like this machine only provides 7 or 30 day average sys leak and AHI data, and these screens are disabled on my unit. Assuming the machine can estimate AHI, I would have thought this important to know for a new user since (I think) it validates the chosen pressure. Should I feel OK just using for the first month with an expectation that the smart card will have all necessary info and that the sleep therapist will make necessary adjustments?

Guessing M Series....I don't recall seeing anything except compliance data from Remstar Pro tank. (guess that didn't get added until Pro2?)

It is kind of disappointing the lack of info on the machine, and that it seems to come disabled by default (though I did later go in and turn it on, but never use it). Apparently, it's just people that come here that seem to want to know more about what's going on with their therapy. Pretty much have to buy the cardreader and software.... I remember hearing about it on here and thinking maybe its something I'll get down the road.....ended up getting it after my 1st week.

Good thing too...I could see that things were getting progressively worse each night....

The Dreamer.

Yes, M series machine. Card reader (plus software I suppose sounds expensive). But really the Q was whether the AHI data was worth chasing - and how would I enable that data display....
