OT - economic recovery solved!

Post by yardbird » Thu Apr 16, 2009 11:30 am

Instead of giving money to banks.... I mean.... how much sense does THAT make? They already HAVE money! .... here's how to fix this economic thing quickly, easily and efficiently...

Give everyone over age 50 a million dollars with these conditions:
You must quit your job (you can go find something else to do that's more fun.... it CAN make money for you, but that's not the point)
You must buy a new house in the US (not an existing one.... new build... anywhere in the US is fine)
You must buy a new car (of ANY make, model)

If married and BOTH are over age 50, both must quit their job, but only have to buy one house and one car.

Opens up the job market and adds meaningful stimulus into the 2 hardest hit (and very important) parts of our economy. Both would have enormous financial "trickle down" to a wide variety of other businesses.

and.... as the Human torch would say....

FLAME ON!

I'm not exactly sure if yardbird's plan better fits the left half or the right half of JFK's above phrase. None the less, I'm willing to pitch in for my country if this plan comes to fruition.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

nah better yet tell the media and the politicians to shut up. there is no crisis except for the one the rich are having because they aren't spending enough. and the one the politicians are having 'cuz there's nothing better for them to do but run the country not thier mouths.

people still spend money on food, housing , and the necesities, and that is where the economy will always be strong. some have over extended themselves on credit (including the banks and wall street ) and want us to pay for it all.

what better way to have a crisis than projecting mass hysteria!!!! it worked for hitler !

damn that stupid law was invoked again.

Hey, I've got about 7 years I can share and still get in on "the plan". Be glad to give them to anyone just below eligibility. Only catch is they include the health issues I acquired during those years. Then you can further stimulate the economy by finding a doctor who would otherwise not be a part of the stimulus package, but could now use a portion of yours to do his civic duty and build a vacation home and add a mid life crisis car to his stable.
