Love your way of putting things, RG.

Careful everyone, here I pounce:

I don't even knock the Swift as opinionated as I am and as much of a disaster as it was for ME....just because it seems to work so well for so many people.

(thanks, Snork for that sentence, I took one freedom with it)

and the rest I'm quoting as is.

RG,

You are TOO funny. So I guess I don't have to say a word after all. And, yes, Grab's "Little Angel" animation was adorable (how does he do that???).

And, Snork1, when I write these things regarding the Breeze, I'm not "knocking it," but rather just relating all the bad luck I had with it. I know it's a great interface that a lot of people swear by. It's as UFO13/Steve said in his "defense" of my post under "The last "Breeze" mask question I'll ask." It wasn't a situation of my trying to dissuade anyone, but rather a recitation of my unfortunate events of trying to get it to work for me. Far be it from me to talk anyone out of anything that other people swear by. Like I ALWAYS say, what works for one person doesn't for someone else, and I stand by those words.

So now I guess I lose my "Little Angel" status. Rested Gal, IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!!

Ozij,

Retract the claws, PLEASE! No need for them. Like I said, it was a recitation of my experience, not a knocking of the product itself. There is a tremendous difference. I can't understand why it was taken to be a statement of, "DON'T BUY THE BREEZE...IT SUCKS!!!" Come on! Where is the freedom to express your experiences on this forum, positive OR negative? Is it at the risk of angering someone who uses it and likes it? You should know me by now and know that couldn't have been my intent, nor were the words I wrote in any way leading one down that path to think so. If the post went something like, "I would never recommend anyone buy the Breeze. It is a piece of junk and doesn't work," I could understand all that has transpired. But, for goodness sake, re-read the post I left and you'll see it couldn't have been further from that. I even included my usual statement about what works for one doesn't for another. What more should I have done aside from not giving my opinion at all?

Whoa Nellie!!! Holy smokes! Lori, I keep going back to see what Ozij wrote that got you so riled up and I can't find a thing! She echoed snork1's comment on the Breeze, but substituted the word Swift because that is HER experience!

I can't speak for Ozij (she always does a superb job of speaking for herself), but I can speak as a passerby on this thread. I don't know what put on the defensive, I honestly don't!

To Neversleeps and O,

I think you are interpretting my reply in the wrong light. First of all, I am not trying to come across angry or riled up, rather just trying clarify my posts on this subject. It seems I am being taken for someone who is trying to deter the use or trial of the Breeze. It couldn't be further from the truth. When this happened the first time after my post to Old Sea Rock about what he was going through with the Breeze and how he was about to give it up, I wrote a reply about him experiencing the same things I went through and how it didn't work for me, either, BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND WHAT WORKS FOR ONE DOESN'T FOR ANOTHER. I always include that to be "safe."

I think, O, you interpreted that as my having a "vendetta" against the poor defenseless interface and that I should let it go. At that point, I wrote a reply trying to clarify that wasn't what I meant at all. Steve/UFO13 even stepped in at that point and wrote a reply in my defense and said exactly what was in my heart because he could see that wasn't why I wrote the post and he made a very eloquent clarification on my behalf, for which he did once again in regard to these last posts.

But believe me when I say I am not riled up at all. I think we lose something in translation when we're on these message boards, as we do in email, when you can't hear how someone says the written word. The reason I used the analogy to retracting the claws was because of RG's comment about watching Ozij pounce and Ozij's own reference to it at the beginning of her post. It wasn't meant to be rude in any way, and I am sorry if you took it to be. I even made a joke about not opening my mouth to say a word anymore about the Breeze in this post. But Rested Gal stepped in and said it for me (I'll get you RG).

Let me go on record, once and for all, AND I'M NOT ANGRY OR RILED WHEN I WRITE THIS, that I know the Breeze works for many a user and is a lot of people's favorite interface. God bless them. I'm glad they found each other and I wish them nothing but leakless and restful nights together. I did not have luck with it, although I tried. I do not harbor any ill feelings towards the interface OR anyone who uses it. Please don't think if I post something about my experience with it that I am trying to discourage you from trying it because it couldn't be further from my mind. To each his own. And, once again, what works for me may not work for you and vice versa.

That being said, I hope there are no hard feelings. Even though it may seem hard to believe, I am an easygoing, kind-hearted person who is out to hurt no one and am only here to ask my own questions and give back my input in the hopes of perhaps being able to help others. I think both sides of a coin are important to be seen and my opinion is only that, my opinion .

Is anyone besides me getting the impression that this string has gotten out of control and a lot of people are figuring other people are upset when really they are NOT.

Certainly give the negatives YOU find with an interface, and others can figure it if they MIGHT be an issue for them.

I have certainly "slammed" the Breeze a bunch of times myself when I was attempting to use it. I might have even called it "garbage".

But I have noted enough people that seem to like it, that I stay out of the fray on THAT one...for the moment......

I do hope EVERYONE understands that what we read here are OPINIONS and you have to take the average of those and relate them to yourself...and then hope for the best.

Remember:
What you read above is only one data point based on one person's opinion.
I am not a doctor, nor do I even play one on TV.
Your mileage may vary.
Follow ANY advice or opinions at your own risk.
Not everything you read is true.

Snork,

I couldn't have said it better myself. And I really mean that...I COULDN'T have said it better. Someone might have misinterpreted me (LOL).

Thanks for saying it so well. And hopefully everyone realizes there is no, and should be no, anger over this post or any other. There certainly isn't from my end. We are all here on equal ground, stating our opinions. That is why this site is as great as it is. You get to hear both sides to every topic, and then some.

If you want a FF, Hans Rudolph can't be beat, Hands Rudolph also has a mask that just covers the nose.

I'm absolutely dying laughing here! I took ozij's "vendetta" post as ozij JOKING (complete with a "wink" and "shocked" eyes) with Lori.

T'was in this thread:
Aug 25, 2005 subject: The last "Breeze" mask question I'll ask.

Which reminds me...I still get tickled thinking about the irony of a topic that started out with such a simple, innocuous title running 6 pages:
Quick Breeze Comment

I also laugh at myself (but hey, I do still feel a twinge of guilt!) about my infamous first words to Lori in that thread:
"As long as you don't try to sleep on your back, the bubble ain't gonna burst."

But it did. And she never even turned on her back!!! She played absolutely by the rules and really, really tried to make it work.

Lori, you gave it your best. You really did want it to work, and you really tried. (I truly mean that.)

It's OK to knock a mask that dragged your face every which way. I saw your picture in OldSeaRock's thread. I know you were just being kind when you tried to excuse the Breeze for not fitting your unique facial structure. But, Lori, I know in my heart that it was the egg, not the chicken! The Breeze MADE your face turn into...."that". And for "that" I'll forever feel guilt.

But... (perking up again)... not so much guilt that a hot fudge sundae won't cure! Got a Baskin Robbins one mile down the road from me.

Am also laughing at myself about the power of suggestion working both directions. All this talk about the Breeze caused me to (yes, you're gonna love this, ozij) get my Breeze out last night and let my every-night-Aura take a break for a night or two.

Yep, Breeze still suited me fine.

Jan, if you come back here and say you finally decided on the unmentioned, unmentionable Profile Lite....

.......we'll ALL pounce!!!!

Just kidding!

Whatever mask you choose, everyone hopes it suits you first crack (oops, I shouldn't have said that!) out of the box.

Except for those of us who want YOU to go through the same ordeal WE go through...the old "Try it - discard it; try another - discard that one; save up for another - give it away" routine.

Clean out a deep drawer now, Jan, while you still have the energy. Put a skull and crossbones label on the front of the drawer. That's your "dead mask" drawer. We all have one.

My now husband Tom was having trouble breathing through his nose and he asked me if I still had that obscene mask.GUESS what, that size small mask fit him better than me which goes to show that so called best mask was way to big for me.

Tom was able to breath through his mouth, and woke up very rested,

I thought you would all like to know.

The Mirage is a one size fits all WRONG!!!!!

My, My, MY! I looked at this thread yesterday and read the four messages...came back today for 27! And quite a little stir I caused by my question, lol. Okie-dokie----I now know that the subject of interfaces is quite a passionate topic among hoseheads! Who knew?

Sounds like I might try the Swift this month...maybe the Activa next time I get the urge to spend money. I can tell that masks may become a little like shoes....can't ever have too many, got to try them all.

Thanks for all the imput. Now ya'll can just take a few deep breaths and RELAX, lol, lol......
