Hi everybody ,I have just got a new Resmed S8 Elite II CPAP + H4i from my clinic here in sweden where i live.
The clinic were helpful understanding my need and knowledge to adjust my pressure and treatment by my self and show me how to get into the clinic menu settings. I have used cpap machines for over 20 years now (some of them have run more than 25000 hours)and this is my first fully data capable CPAP. I have read some posts here about the effiency data in the LCD-screen that vill not report pressure data (screen show only No Data) even when data is enabled in clinic settings menu.
If i use the resscan 3.7 software will it report my missing pressure data the onboard Lcd-screen does not?
I will be happy if someone can confirm if the pressure data from S8 Elite II will show up in the software readings downloaded from the CPAP.
The data option for connect the CPAP with the computer is usb-cable/cardreader or the much more expensive reslinkmodule. Are the some way to get resonable detailed data by the cheaper usb-cable/cardreader option or must i go for the expensive reslink adapter? The oximeter option for the reslinkmodule is not necessary for now as i think resmed is taking high prices for them.
At my clinic they only use time compliance data readout from the Lcd-screen so they can not help me with data issues and i am the only of their patients having the Elite II so i have promise them to show them how it works when i have figured out the whole thing for my self.

Re: S8 Elite II & Resscan 3.7 questions
The Elite II is a straight CPAP machine, so, to me, pressure data isn't all that important in the way it would be for an auto-titrating PAP machine (or, APAP).Airborne wrote:Hi everybody ,I have just got a new Resmed S8 Elite II CPAP + H4i from my clinic here in sweden where i live.

The usefulness of the software is mostly seeing the timing and duration of leaks and events. Other than that, the info you get from the screen is enough, becuase it is the AI and AHI numbers you will use to decide if you need to raise or lower your pressure. You can basically consider your pressure to be the dialed-in pressure the machine is set at. It is true that EPR lowers that pressure for exhale. But, as I say, the important information you need is leak and AHI, which you get from the screen. And if you want to see the timing and duration of events and leaks, get the software.
Hope that answers at least some of your questions.
