mirage micro

Post by hmetal » Tue Apr 07, 2009 5:08 am

I am a new user with a RES MED S8 escape 2 and a mirage micro nasal mask . I can't seem to get past 2 or 3 hours with the mask. The machine works great and wearing the mask doesn't bother me to much ,but the mask starts to get a whistling noise that I can't get used to. I am a big guy with a light beard and sleep on my side ,with alot of tossing . Help me get some sleep.

i am a relative newbie in all this, i do use the mirage micro mask too. I suspect that the whistling noise is likely to be from leaks. I am sure that someone more experienced will pop in soon and share some wisdom

Can you determine where the whistle is coming from? If the cushion is not seated in the frame well, it could cause a whistle. Another cause would be condensation on the exhaust vent. Do you have a hose cover ?

What is a hose cover? It seems like it is moist , When I wake up I take my mask and put it in the velvit bag ,then take my humid tank and empty it and hang it up . Should I be doin more?
