Got script for M series Pro... YAYYY I think....

Post by FatiguedMe » Fri Apr 03, 2009 1:54 pm

Hey Everyone,
Just got back from Pulmonary Dr. I have in hand A script that says.....Remstar Pro M Series W cflex & smart card & heated humidifier. Is this gonna have them set it up for complete data info.
I went back to Dr early because I am experiencing a sudden wake up, feeling like I can't breath. Tongue is glued to top of mouth and throat is very dry. He asked me what machine I had, I had printed out the plus ( which I have) and Also printed out the Pro he viewed both of them and stated he could not believe they are not equiping us with fully data capable machines. (younger Dr) I told him the first machine I got was just a blower, on which I could not breath. He was truly shocked. So I guess not all Drs are aware of how we are being treated by the DME's.
Please tell me I am gonna finally get what I need. Also How can I hold onto my hard copy of this script. I don't want to turn it over to my DME. Can I fax it to them?
Sorry one more thing, we need to know what is happening at night so I can take report back to him in 6 months. That is why I am hoping and praying that they set it up right.
Thank you
Fatigued

Wow. It sounds like you got lucky with your script. I am hoping to get that exact same script after my full nights titration. Regarding your hardcopy: one thing I learned after years in the military is that it is always best to make copies to give out but always retain YOUR originals, of anything medically related.

Most of the DME's take fax's from the doctors... so why not fax it?

Glad that visit turned out well for you! I was wondering. Earlier in chat my computer booted me out again before I could finish saying goodbye and ask you to please report back. Even though I have the same machine, I've never used the screen to get info since I have the software and card reader. Hopefully someone can help you with that so you can get an idea how your data is looking right away. Will be interesting to follow that. Hope those scary episodes will be a thing of the past. Oh, and stay off your back!
Kathy

My doctor faxed the prescription and then gave me the original copy! That way I can also fax it to CPAP.Com if I want to purchase a different machine, which I did! My insurance would not cover a new machine for another year, so I got a good deal on an M Series Pro from CPAP.Com.

Congratulations on the new machine - it will give you all the data you need.

It will not solve this Tongue is glued to top of mouth and throat is very dry. This is a result of mouthbreathing - the treatment air comes rushing out of you mouth.
