.oo leak, but still getting some AHI #'s

Post by BigDaddy12t » Fri Apr 03, 2009 6:20 am

For the last 3 nights, I have been getting .00 leaks, but my numbers still are there. AI has been around .6
HI has been around 8.0, and AHI around 8.6. Does this mean that I might need to up my pressure?

Sounds like 1-cm might help......What are your pressure settings now?

Start out at 4, and ramps up to 10 in 15 minutes.

A ResMed lets you change the pressure in 0.2 increments - my personal preference would be for a gradual raise. Your AI is excellent.

I'm glad you got over those infuriating mask leaks.

Thanks O. I am happy with my AHI, but I just thought that if I am not getting leaks, my #'s should be better. But I am not complaining. Ya, once I got my Swift LT figured out, I am more then happy with that mask.

Hey there! I've got exact same equipment, and same issue. My leaks are either 0.00 or *very* close, and my AHI is still a little higher than I'd like. Please check out my thread on the issue: viewtopic/t40593/High-HI-affecting-AHI- ... rried.html

Rested Gal offers some great insight in how different machines report HIs. After reading her response, I felt a lot better about my AHI #s.
