Returning CPAP Equipment Under Rental

I'm currently renting equipment from a DME and it's only been for about two months. I'm switching from CPAP to auto bi-PAP and I want to switch DME's also. Can I just return the original equipment and have a new DME fill the script for the new one? Or am I contractually obligated to go with the same DME?

It totally depends on your insurance and how much you may be willing to pay out of pocket. If they've started some type of "capped rental" you "might" be stuck paying that two months rental out of pocket or making it up to the new DME supplier. That two months use was not free. Best to call your insurance to find out just where you stand.
