deb, what is a UPS? I'm feeling dumb right now but still asking.
UPS is an uninterruptible power supply, typically used for computers and such to give you time to shut them down if the power fails. Was advised not to plug the CPAPs into one, but main thing I wanted was the alarm anyway, so plugging the alarm clock into it gives me the same result. It is loud and annoying if the power fails, and that should wake us up.
