With regards to snow... OT

Post by TonySanDiego » Fri Mar 06, 2009 11:38 am

It is great to feel good.

Especially if you live in San Diego.

Love that CPAP. Even my cube mate at work has come around. The one who hated the machine. He has finally gotten a good combination of mask and machine. The other morning he remarked "I feel great"

So, while we are feeling great, we get out and do things. I was reflecting on some of the other stories here regarding snow shovels and such. Thought I would share some of my activities from last weekend .

I took my bike out to Lake Miramar and rode around a bit.

Nice view from the top of the dam.

Twas about 80 degrees at the end of February.

Tough place to live but somebody has to do it.

About a third of the way around the lake I need to take a break. Sorta out of shape.

BTW, this is what is known as a "comfort bike". Not one of these "real" bike like Carbonman has.

Not my house either... but closer than the others..

I may not have been alone.....

Notice the winter apparel.

Like I said, it is a tough assignment, living here, but I am soldiering on as best I can.

You all have a nice day now.

Was that the day I got 11 inches of snow with a record breaking low of 10 degrees? What a difference a week makes. This weekend they are predicting a high in the upper 70s. This is what they say in Virginia, "If you don't like the weather, stick around a day or two and it will change." They aren't kidding.

As a fellow San Diegan - yes! Woo hoo! Thats why we pay our sunshine tax. My orchids are blooming outside and my roses are budded.

And yes, since I'v started cpap, I've been getting out more, too, and also bicycle.

Hey, I'm not one bit jealous of your rattlesnake warning. We have those all over the place here, too. What I am jealous of is all the water. It's bone dry here in the Panhandle of Texas.

Hi Tony,
I've ridden my bike around that lake a number of times when I used to live a few miles from there. Very nice seeing it again.

Tony, I thought you forgot about the pics.
Great personaility in your selection of pics.
COOL!

I would love to ride some of those routes, in the O2 rich air.
WOW....it would be like wearing an oxygen mask for me.

Comfort is a preception in the caboose of the rider, I believe.

How ever you're doing it, you're doing it and having fun.....that's all that matters.

Cycling is life, the rest is just details.

See you on the road.
