I don't know which mask to choose
I don't know which mask to choose
Friends:
I want to change from my full face mask to a nasal or nasal pillow mask. I went to CPAP.COM and after using the sizing tool it recommended more nasal pillows system than nsal masks. Actually, I was interested in the ACTIVA LT mask but the sizing guide said that such mask will not work for me.
Right now form the sizing guide suggestions I'm between the Mirage Swift LT anf the Swift II, but I don't know which one is better, I'm an active sleeper and suffer from nasal congestions and allergies.
Can some one helo me decide or offer me any suggestions?
Abeo

If you are a side sleeper ... go for the Swift LT. If you are a back sleeper it does not really matter.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Swift LT. Almost everyone seems to really like it. I didn't like the way the air hooked up to the Swift II. The LT is the first and only mask I have used.

Why not look into test driving a mask before you buy it? You can find links below in my signature line to several mask test drives that are run by forum members, including my own for the Nasal Aire II.
Good luck!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

I'm a newbie.
I adapted quickly to the Flexifit 407. But I couldn't tolerate the Swift LT.
Altho many people prefer the nasal pillow, I couldn't tolerate it.
I suggest you find a way to do a trial run until you find one that suits your needs.

Re: I don't know which mask to choose
Hi---I have tried 6 or 7 masks already. Settled on the Swift LT!!! It is great for a side sleeper which I am. My pressure is only a "7" --so if your pressure is on the high side--you might not like the Swift LT. Add your pressure settings to your profile that way people can make good Mask suggestions for you.

just my 2 cents
I really liked the Swift LT - Would still use it if I could keep my damn mouth shut while sleeping... As others have said, it's very easy if you're a side sleeper.

Re: I don't know which mask to choose
abeo, I don't think the sizing guide on cpap.com is absolutely accurate about its recommendations. I wouldn't hesitate to give the Activa LT a try, even if it didn't come up as a "recommended" mask for you. The original Activa was a remarkably good sealing nasal mask, and the LT version looks like it is, too. The bellows cushion design of the Activa (and probably the Activa LT) is VERY forgiving. I've joked before that I think I could wear an Activa on my KNEE and get a leakproof seal.
Of course not every mask suits everyone. But I've had no problem using some masks that the sizing guide doesn't recommend for me, and did have problems with some it did recommend.
That said, the Swift LT is another good one. Heck, get 'em both. Got a birthday or something coming up anytime soon? Put "the other one" on your "You know, I'd like to have one of these...hint hint" wish list.
