Aussie Heated Hose

Post by AuntieNae » Mon Jan 12, 2009 1:43 pm

With sub-artic temperatures about to hit our area .. that Aussie Heated Hose is REALLY starting to sound very nice. I thought I would ask my questions here .. 1) does it last through several winters 2) does it really heat up the air in the hose to keep the condensation down 3) would you buy one again?
Thanks

I can't answer your first question, I have only had my Ozzy hose for two weeks.
2) yes it does. I didn't have rainout problem until it got really cold, but
it makes the air SO comfortable. The cool/cold air is very uncomfortable, for me.
It really feels good if you turn it on a few minutes before you mask up,
then when that first blast hits you, it's nice and warm.
3) yes, no brainer.

I got the additional hose connectors at cpap.com, so I won't damage the rubber on the hose.
Should last a long time.

I said that.

I use mine every night, for over 2 years now. I think Rested Gal has had hers for close to 4 years. I would buy another in a heartbeat! My even get one just as a backup.

Worth EVERY penny...IMHO...I have a spare...I wouldn't want to be without it...Mine is 2 years old so far...I have not had ONE bit of rainout since I have had mine...I had a problem with the first one I bought. I sent an email to sleepzone one night telling them about my melted hose... I got a call from Australia the next afternoon.. After a very pleasant conversation with Mr. Fischer, I had another hose on the way to me while my problem hose was on the way back to them... so I know from experience that they make it good if there is a problem with their hose... Probably the most wisely spent money since going on cpap IMO.
