New to CPAPA What Machine / Mask

Post by Kdin1 » Mon Dec 08, 2008 3:55 pm

Had my sleep study this pass Friday and the recommendation from the study is that I need a CPAP machine. The study was done in 2 parts one to test for the problems second to see if a CPAP machine would help in solving the problems and the CPAP machine did help me sleep the best in a long time. How the question what type machine (brand, etc) and mask (brand, etc.). Any ideas or recommendations gladly taken. Meet with the Doctor later this week.

One of these:

Respironics M Series w/ AFLEX
ResMed Autoset II
Sandman Auto

Mask ... everyone is different and you just have to figure out which one best fits YOUR face.

Welcome and best wishes on your new lifestyle!
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Welcome

I will second the, you would like one of the above machines! I had no idea how much I would like the data capability, and had to fight to get it after.

I have used both the Respironics M Series w/ AFLEX and
ResMed Autoset II .. both are great! I would suggest comparing them here on cpap.com to learn more about them. The great thing about the AutoPAP is it can also be set to be a straight CPAP.
S8 AutoSet II with H4i Humid, reader + software
M Series Auto w Aflex with HH, reader + software
IntelliPAP AutoAdjust with HH, reader + software
Mirage Liberty Full Face with Nasal Pillows and Head Gear
