1 year on the hose

Post by deerslayer » Fri Dec 05, 2008 5:35 am

today marks the 1 year anniversary on the hose. this child has gone from being in denial, fast track to a stroke/heart event..to a much better quality of life . this site has been instrumental in making it work.. thank you Johnny for hosting such a priceless forum for us to nurture one another . last night was the exception for sleep quality. only about 3 or so hrs...have to get over to the hospital early.(8th day) for mom. she wants to give up & i can only do so much. thanks to all on here who have guided me along the way ! tim

Congratulations, DeerSlayer. My first inclincation was to say happy anniversary, of course, but given the situaton w/your mom it didn't quite seem appropriate. My heartfelt best wishes to you and your mom.

Well, I'm very happy for you! It seems quite impossible to look back and think about life before the hose now...hard work in learning and adaptation really gives great results! We can't stop the wheel of life, but we are the ones that can controle the steering towards the left or right...with a little help from our friends!
Take care, Tim.
My thoughts are with you today.

Hey! Congratulations on your first year and your recovered health. Just be careful on that motorcycle!

I'd like to thank you for your support and friendliness when I first showed up here. You were one of the first people I talked with out here in cyberCPAP land.

I hope things go well with your mother.

Wow. Talk about a bittersweet post. But life's usually like that, isn't it? Some good, some bad, things to work through, things to celebrate, things to hope for. I've been wondering about your mom and just kept forgetting to ask. I'm so sorry she's having such a bad time. Please tell her that many people here want her to get better and are praying for her body to mend well and quickly. You and the rest of your family are in our prayers, too, Tim.

Way to go Tim, I am sure, like the rest of us, that first year was a great hurdle to jump. Like Wulfman said, they will go faster now. It does not even seem like it has been 3 months since my first year was up. Flying by. Keep up the good work and thanks so much for the help that you have given.

Tim, glad to hear of your milestone, and sorry to hear of the situation with your mother. The feelings that go with such circumstances are still fresh on my heart. You're in my thoughts.
