Is this a good choice for Autopap? Does it have the card (?) that records sleep patterns that you can read on a home computer?

Good choice. Yes, it has the Smartcard.
You might also want to consider this model, too: 1017476
It's the same machine with heated humidifier.

Best machine out there imho, just remember the Encore software package with card reader is another $200. Derek's free addon software called "MyEncore" is a super user friendly addition.
