Interesting, GoofProof! Hubby is right handed, but his older brother who taught him to shoot was left handed and he learned to shoot left handed. Including a bow. Yet he is one heck of a good shot!

Of course, he HAD to be. He comes from a LARGE family in the back woods of Maine. They hunted & fished to eat. Money was tight enough they didn't buy ammo by the box, they bought it 1-2 shells or bullets at a time. If you went out w/2 bullets or shells you had BETTER come home w/two game or one game and one bullet/shell!!!

Money was tight, but my friends and I bought shells wholesale, by the "Brick" (500 at a time), skills learned then came in handy later. Never acquired a taste for wild food, ate it if I shot it though, the maker did such a good job making cows, pigs, and chickens for us to eat. oh yes and don't forget Catfish and Crappy!

I am right-handed but had a daughter who was a leftie. I taught myself to do things like tie shoes left-handed so I could teach her to do it in a way that was comfortable to her. Once she learned, I went back to my old style.

When I had shoulder surgery and could not use my right arm for 6 weeks, I had to learn to eat, brush teeth, and do other hygiene tasks with my left hand. Not always the easiest!

Just for the sake of argument and for those who do not like to be on the same list with the current President George Walker Bush, may I remind you that President William Jefferson Blythe Clinton and President-elect Barack Hussein Obama are left-handed. Check out the list at http://www.indiana.edu/~primate/left.html for a more detailed list of left handed people. The list does not include some of the more famous composers that are left handed: Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Carl Philip Emmanuel Bach and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Better over the hill than under the hill--especially since my last surgery was a heart transplant on August 3, 2013.

I'm with Jim.....if it's still in the store, I let the wild ones continue on their way......
BUT, if there's no food in the stores........Don't be moving around in the forest!!!!!!

Hmmm. I always thought it was Neil Pert that had 3 arms.....and after watching him perform...I'm convinced he's got an arm coming out of the middle of his chest that you can't see for some reason.....

Examples of his work:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-BRee2bAho about 3.5 min.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qF-k4wg ... re=related about 9 min. (one of the best performances I ever saw)

Yeah. It's a bit OT......Sorry......

cheers

The current numbers seem to be confirming my suspicion already, but I'll make a guess that the polls ends with a slight skew towards more left-handed individuals vs. the general population.

I think he has three feet too!

And now added to my personal list of nightmare jobs I would never want to have: Neal Peart's drum-tech/roadie.

Isn't there only around 10% of the general population that is left-handed?

Hey DS,
Yeah -- amazing sounds for a trio!!!
I used to tout Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Ginger Baker, Keith Moon, John Bonahm (sp)....etc. as being the best of the best....
Peart is numero uno on the list.....I've never seen anyone that can play like Neil Peart.....

cheers
