air flow away from the eyes

Post by cat lady » Thu Nov 13, 2008 2:17 pm

Help!

I have a quatro pro full face mask and it is comfortable but...... The outlet for air flow is right on the bridge of the nose. I have problem with dry eyes and this mask is only making it worse. I wear a eye mask (sleep mask) to try to lessen the possiblity of my eyes getting dried out by the air flow but I give up...

I need to find a new mask. I need the nose and mouth with venting well away from the eyes. I go to the doctor again next week and would like to be able to tell him "I want this." I have looked on line but pictures give you no indication of where the air flow is.

I need your help. Any suggestions on what would be a good mask for me??

Thank you.

Check out the ResMed Mirage Liberty -- different kind of full face mask -- vents out the sides.

Cat Lady,
I too have dry eyes and have a problem with the air circulating back to my eyes. The masks that I have had are FlexiFit 407, Mirage Activia, Mirage Micro, and the Mirrage Quatro. All of these have the circulating air back to my eyes. Last night I figured out that if you have your pillow situated just right and the hose situated just right it makes the air go away from the eye that is closes to the pillow (the only one that bothers me with the circuation I dont know why). I hope that helps.
