This is very encouraging!
I knew my relative had been given a Respironics C-Flex but was almost completely noncompliante due to not being able to breath out easily. Most of you realize how much I love my A-Flex because of the exhalation feature. I recommended my relative see if he could get one. His DME said they couldn't get it. I found this strange since they already provided a Respironics product. I told my relative to contact the DME and ask them to talk to their Respironics rep and then get back to him if the rep said he couldn't get it, in which case my relative could call Respironics and find a rep that could get the unit. Turns out the rep could get an A-Flex : )))
So, the DME came through. She got the A-Flex for my relative and I'm happy to report he had his first entire night's sleep on the machine and slept well. And his wife slept well too : )))
He received the machine not set up for use. I walked him through the setup. Fortunately our pressure settings are similar so I started him out on my setup. A-Flex 3, Max 11, Min 5, ramp 5 at 15 minutes. We'll look at his reports and take it from there.
The other good news is the RT is open and wants to learn more about the A-Flex. So the story ends well. I'm proposing that my relative join the forum. We'll see.
Persevering with your DME
Re: Persevering with your DME
Glad to hear they had success.
Maybe the RT should join the forum, too.
