Hello From Lakeland FL

Post by OceanGoingGal » Tue Oct 07, 2008 4:06 am

Hello, New Here. I have been using my Cpap since June. What a difference!! I no longer have dreams that I can't catch my breath. No more struggling to keep my eyes open in the afternoon. I still do not seem to sleep any longer but I know that my quality of sleep has lmproved. It as made a tremendous difference in my life. Hope to get to know other users in this forum.

Welcome to the forum, OceanGoingGirl!!!

I suggest that you go back to your Profile (click on User Control Panel near the top of the page on the left) and go thru your Profile, near the bottom is space to enter what brand and model CPAP you are using, which mask, whether you are using a humidifier or not and if you are using the software or not. That will save you repeatedly answering those questions in reply to any posts you make. You have the option of using an avator to picture your equipment or selecting text to identify your equipment. I would suggest you select text to display your equipment, its faster for those who want to respond to your posts. If you select the avatar we have to click on it and wait for it to load to see what equipment you have.

So how many hours of sleep a night are you averaging? Do you have any other sleep disorders besides OSA (obstructive sleep apnea)?

Welcome to the forum! Now that you have joined, you need to go to the user control panel and fill in your profile. Tell us what machine and mask you use so we can better help you when you have a question. You might also want to click on 'our wisdom' at the top of the page and read, read, read! Lots of great info there.

Hello from another Floridian OceanGoingGal!! I am from Beverly Hills, Florida and am new to this cpap experience. I have found many great people on this board that are so willing to help you out with anything you have a concern with. Welcome to the board and jump right on in, the water's fine!~

Welcome aboard from another Floridian! Good to hear another who's therapy is helping them. Fill in your equipment in the "console" above in case you have any questions for members. This is a tremendous resource to help you benefit the most from cpap.

MichelleFL, well how was your titration study?

Hi, Thanks for the welcomes and I will go in and fill in the info in my profile. I seem to get about 5 hours sleep a night. I asked the tech about it. Tech said that the longer sleep will come with time. I have had a couple nights when I woke up later. I do know I feel so much better. I own a forum dedicated to another subject. We were discussing sleep study and c-pap awhile back when I said I was going for he study. Some of the members that have c-pap gave me very positive feedback. Since the we talked another member into it. He now has his c-pap and is doing well. Again, thanks for the welcomes.

Gal... you've got a little inconsistency going on.... Do you have the M series pro by chance? If so have you looked at your data? The M series will show data on the LCD and gather it on the smart card. The classic Pro2, just gathers it on the card. If it's just on the card you should see if you can get the software and reader.
