Day of Reckoning or was it Recognizing

Post by dirtsurfer57 » Mon Jul 25, 2005 8:16 pm

It's finally time, it was nice knowin' ya'all, it's time to meet my maker, in my case it's Respironics!!!!!!! After more then a month, my machine is finally here and the maiden voyage is tonight, hopefully it's not the Titanic!!!! The one nice thing about it taking so long is that I've got a months worth of advice from you guys and that's got me nervously anxious. Changed out my original Swift for an Activa and I think that's gonna make things a whole lot easier, can't believe how comfortable that bad boy is!!!!! Well it's zero hour and I'm preparing to go in, wish me luck, and if I don't make it you know the drill notify my next of kin!!!!!

First night went well, went 4 out of the 6 hours I slept on the Cpap machine. That Activa mask was excellent no leaks, comfortable really glad I switched to it. Felt pretty good today, I was a little skeptical but I'm not any longer can't wait to see what it feels like to get a whole nights sleep with the mask on. Just wanted to thank everyone for all the help and advice it really made the difference.

Great to hear such a smooth start. That Activa mask is soooo light on the face. I miss that aspect with my now Mirage Ultra f/f.

Here I am 18 days into CPAP and am only now reverting to what I call a 'more' normal night's sleep. Much of the time was getting used to the whole show & the mask leaks. Last night the mask was about the best I can recall (I shaved before putting it on, seemed to help a lot).

Cheers & keep us informed.

dirtsurfer57...so glad you had a good night. Hopefully it will only get better.

I seemed to be having great nights but the last 3 were terrible and I am mad about it. I hope I get back to having a better sleep tonight...if not I might be an old grouch tomorrow... I do these things happen but I want my sleep...
