Kenny, I use the Ultra Mirage FF and it is great. I have tried others but this one worked best for me. Good Luck

Hi Kenny,

Well, the answer depends on who you ask

Also the shape & size of your face.

But, I am one of the fans of the ResMed Ultra Mirage, but, I am also going to be interested in the other replies you receive.

Cheers

DSM

xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)

Yup.

ResMed Ultra Mirage FF is my favorite of the full face masks, too.

As listed below.....put me in the ResMed Ultra Mirage FF category, too.
Other than the one I used in the sleep study, this is the only one I've used and am very happy with my choice.

(5) REMstar Autos w/C-Flex & (6) REMstar Pro 2 CPAPs w/C-Flex - Pressure Setting = 14 cm.
"Passover" Humidification - ResMed Ultra Mirage FF - Encore Pro w/Card Reader & MyEncore software - Chiroflow pillow

I prefer the F&P Flexi-fit HC431 Full Face Mask. It allows me to sleep on my side with no trouble. It has the slide bars on the front.

Not the Mirage Ultra Full Face. Leaked like crazy for me and I never got through a whole night without those awful air-leak noises.

I've had much better luck with the F&P FlexiFit HC431, though still not perfect. I just received a Hans Rudolph 7600 VIP Full Face Mask and will be testing that out this week.

You may want to consider looking outside the FULL FACE market. I have had surprisingly good results with the Mirage Activa Nasal Mask and taping my mouth shut. Now I at least have some different options that won't wake me up at night like that blasted Ultra Mirage!

It truly depends on your facial structure. I read countless glowing reviews about the Mirage Ultra FF and was sorely disappointed with it.

I vote for the Ultra Mirage full face mask, too.

Of course, I've never used any other full-face mask so please take my opinion at "face" value only ...

While I agree with the many people who have said that what mask fits right for one person may not fit right for someone else, I think there is more to it than just facial structure, at least when it comes to full face masks.

What sort of pressure you are going to put through the mask seems to play a big part as well.

As an example, I personally found the F&P FlexiFit HC431 to be the most comfortable full face mask to wear. Unfortunately, when the pressure went much over 10cm, I found that I had to tighten the straps so much to prevent loud, sleep disturbing, leaks that it became more akin to a torture device than a sleep-aid!

The ResMed Mirage Ultra FF mask on the other hand, while not quite as comfortable, doesn't seem to need to be as tight to prevent leaks at higher pressures. Of course, if you go to a high enough pressure, you'll still get bad leaks.

I'm starting to think that all FF masks will leak badly, it's just a matter of determining what pressure level the leaks vs tightness of straps exceeds your personal comfort level.

If that makes any sense...

I get leaks with all my full face masks. These include the Ultra Mirage ff mask, the HC431 ff mask, and the Hans Rudolph ff mask. I devoted considerable time and adjustment to make them work better. They all still leak.

I now tape my mouth and have excellent results with my Breeze and Activa. When I cannot tolerate the mouth taping I use one of the full face masks for short periods.
