New at this. Started CPAP about a month ago.
Have tried several different masks, and have found the Mirage Liberty to be the one I "dislike the least".
Problem is, the nose pillows start leaking at about 2:00 a.m. and it's a bit frustrating when I try to re-position them.
It's not discomfort from the mask that wakes me up. It's the leaks.
Any tricks that might help?
I'm going to try a small rubber band looped around them to help keep them together. Maybe?
Thanks for any advice.

Re: Newbie with leaking pillows
I am sure a Rested Gal strap or scrunchies will help, do a search to get more ideas.
I also use Lansinoh (pure lanolin) on the nose piece to help with the seal. It does help, water or rainout will cause leaks. Take just a pinch between thumb and forefinger to smear all around the nose piece where it contacts the nares before putting on.
DO NOT USE Vaseline, it will cause more problems and leaks.

Re: Newbie with leaking pillows
Are you sure your pillows are not too small? I'm a newbie with a small nose, but found that the large pillows seal the best.
Re: Newbie with leaking pillows
I agree with Moochetta. A different size pillow might help. I have, what I thought was a small nose. When I found my "best mask so far" (the Snapp), I discovered I needed the XL prongs!!!

Re: Newbie with leaking pillows
I agree with the others that larger size nasal pillows than you'd think you really need are usually a better fit throughout the night.
I always tie a homemade strap around my head to keep nasal pillows steadily in place. Even then, I sometimes wake with a leak and have to wiggle the pillows or shift the homemade strap a bit, then all's well again.
Here are several ways to route one or two homemade straps and how to tie the strap behind head:
Using one or two homemade straps with the Headrest nasal pillows mask.

How to tie a flat knot behind head when using the leg cut off a pair of tights as a homemade strap,

I use the leg cut off a pair of stretchy tights (RG's infamous pantyhose leg ) as an extra strap. Not just regular pantyhose material. "Tights" material stays wider and works better.
It's also good to rig a way to keep the main air hose overhead so that you can be like a fish at the end of a slack line, able to turn all the way over underneath without causing the air hose to tug at the mask:

Re: Newbie with leaking pillows
Found a cloth elastic head band at WalMart yesterday. It's the thing women use to keep their hair back when putting on makeup.
Put it around my head and the pillows and no leaks - at least for one night, anyway.
