Re: Common plastics chemical bisphenol, linked to human diseases
Prominent genetic researchers also suspect that bisphenol may cause epigenetically-induced disease expressions, that can be passed on to our children and grandchildren.
Here's a nice Nova presentation about the human epigenome (a "second" encompassing genome that switches DNA on and off):

Here's another link to another (seemingly longer) article about it.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26736202
Here are some excerpts. Makes me wonder how somebody can write an article like this, with so much innuendo in it and think it credible to publish.
"It suggests"
"the study is preliminary, far from proof"
"provides no answers about whether the ubiquitous chemical is harmful"
"with little agreement about its risks."
"BPA exposure is not enough to warrant action"
"more rigorous studies are needed to confirm the results"
"Many scientists believe"
"the study presents no clear information"
"there’s some other factor that’s explaining this and it’s not due to BPA itself"
"They found no strong evidence of health hazards from BPA"
.

If I'm not mistaken that study was conducted by the Industry that makes the chemical in question and ask us to trust them?Wulfman wrote:Here's another link to another (seemingly longer) article about it.

This plastic issue makes me appreciate just how smart Den was when he moved to Wyoming years ago. I know I'd sure breathe a sigh of relief if I had moved to a state where everything is still made from wood or animal skin.
