The two of us- both using CPAP
The two of us- both using CPAP
Hi all,
imagine my absolute delight to meet my new partner and then I (yes me) suggest nicely to him that he might have sleep apnea, the earth may have moved but it was his snoring that caused it.! Off he goes to get tested and before too long, happy little vegemite he is set up with a cpap and rearing to go.
Fantastic, one month after that I was tested and lo...I too now have a machine. How do couples with CPAPs cope with two lots of cold air blowing across the room, extra power points and clacking of masks during the night?
Love and cpaps in Australia.

Well I have heard that the typical Aussie bloke's request for a bit of lovin' is "Are you awake?" Maybe now it will be when he suggestivley removes the mask or maybe; "Your mask or mine?" The knock back might be "Sorry honey, I need to breath tonight" instead of "I have a headache"
Will have to look around and see if there is any lingere for the hose.

ear plugs and eye mask.
When my GF started on CPAP a couple of weeks ago I noticed that my eye problem was getting worse. Started using an eye mask to block the air from her cpap, the ceiling fan, and the ac. Eye pain was turned down pretty good. This is how it is. I use polident strips to seal my mouth, ear plugs to keep things quite, an eye mask to block external air, of course, a cpap mask to stay alive in the night.
A condom and a butt plug and I'd be sealed completely!...LOL.

Husband and Have Machines
He has a bi-pap; I have a c-pap. I actually liked the sound of his machine prior to my having one. It's like an air conditioner--a "white noise" effect. Blocks out other noises.
The only thing I miss is once we get hooked up; we can't cuddle because it just doesn't work when you are hooked up to a hose!

Oh you have made me laugh...its Nocturnal with a new name here.
Thanks for seeing the funny side of mid life bedroom toys!
For those of you who are two CPAP households...do you disturb each other during the night with leaking masks and other noises? Or is separate rooms the answer?
My partner seems to sleep soundly while I wrestle and yell at the mask, frequently.

We both started within the same week of each other and both are sleeping much better. Gone are the snoring, choking, noticeable leg movements, and frequent bathroom trips. The daytime mood has improved, too. Life is better.Rebelle wrote:
