cpapauction.com buyers buying BIPAPs and CPAPS to resell
cpapauction.com buyers buying BIPAPs and CPAPS to resell
This is a real pet peeve of mine. There are several CPAPAUCTION regulars who have a prescription (or a fake one) to buy BIPAP or CPAP machines and they're buying them not because they NEED the machine but for gain and profit. They're probably DME's who sell them to unsuspecting patients/clients. STS formerly called Sleeptherapy could be one of them. If you're reading this post, have you no shame???

xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)
I agree with desikitteh, I'm all for outing those who try to cheat a good system simply for their gain, but provide the proof. Without proof all you have are accusations, now if you sold one these individuals a cpap and than saw it on the auction at a marked up price and repurchased it from them AND it had the same serial number, than you have a small amount of proof.
Even if it happened, it wouldn't be wrong, Cpapauction, is a business not a charity. Nothing illegal with doing that. It's a form of Day Trading. Now if I sold someone one cheap to help them out and they sold it for profit, I would be rightly P.O.ed.Anonymous wrote:I agree with desikitteh, I'm all for outing those who try to cheat a good system simply for their gain, but provide the proof. We see people in business every day, that's how most people feed their families. I however feel profit should come from vaule added, I've never made a dime without giving a quarters vaule in my work. Jim
Use data to optimize your xPAP treatment!

Maybe you need to bid higher? I think that is the way auctions work.Pet Peeve of mine wrote:This is a real pet peeve of mine. President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.
The going auction rate of xPAPs have jumped considerably since January 2008.
It would be a great idea if CPAPAUCTION.COM has a safety measure in place so that people/bidders can only buy a maximum of one or two XPAP machines a year. Although this won't stop people from using aliases or have their friends bid for them, it is a start. It would also allow those who normally can't afford to buy a xPAP machine to buy one via auction at a reduced price and not have to compete with those willing to pay a higher amount because they know they can turn around and sell it to someone else for profit. I agree, there seems to be something ethically and morally wrong in buying items here and reselling it later for profit.

Auction purchases and resale
I have no issue with anyone buying a machine at auction and reselling it for the best price they can get. My issue would be if it is bought as used and resold as new. That's a serious (slanderous?) allegation to make without proof.
