Sorry it took so long to reply to everyone, but my FIANCE (that was for Babs) and I closed on our house on Friday and we have been moving stuff all weekend.

Babs, I promised the nasal pillows to Treesap as soon as I get to the box I packed that stuff in. One of the side hoses is pretty mangled so I am not sure what else you would be interested in.

I can't really tell the difference between 1.0 AHI and 0.0 AHI to be honest. I have been averaging < 2.0 AHI for a few months now. I can feel a difference thought due to my reduced snoring. With my old mask (Swift II) my snore index was really high. Sometimes over 100. My DME told me to not worry about it, but I didn't believe him. Since using the Swift LT, my snore index has been around 4. Now if I could get it to stop whistling sometimes, I would be all set. I also had to turn the humidifier to 0 because I was getting condensation.

Oh go right ahead and send them to TreeSap. She's in greater need than I am.

Cheers,

A newbie question. When you turn the bumidifier to 0 is it doing anything or is it off? I'm on 1 right now and am getting condensation but was reluctant to turn it to 0 because I've read about the sinius problems of not using the humidifier. I'm using the Swift LT, and I've only had my machine for two days so I'm pretty new to all this!!!

Even on "0" (or Off), and with water in the tank, you will still get some humidity but no condensation or rainout.....this is called "pass-over" humidification.
It's the method I've been using for three years.

Den

(5) REMstar Autos w/C-Flex & (6) REMstar Pro 2 CPAPs w/C-Flex - Pressure Setting = 14 cm.
"Passover" Humidification - ResMed Ultra Mirage FF - Encore Pro w/Card Reader & MyEncore software - Chiroflow pillow

Thanks.
I'll try that tonight. I've been looking at hose covers or the heated hoses since people seem to be having good luck with them but may as well try the free fix first!

I sleep with a fan blowing on me at night, do you think that plays a part in the condensation? Thats why I was thinking trying a hose cover to keep the breeze of the fan off the hose.

Flying_Norseman, hopefully I'm not too late. I got a nasal pillows from GrayGables. They came in the mail today. If I am too late, I will be happy to send them to Babs.

I appreciate you all thinking of me!

Have you tried plain old exercise and weight loss? I'm sure there are things you can do that won't impact your neck. Regular exercise can improve your health on a cellular level and it's great for sleep. It also tends to give you energy for the rest of the day. After I play a game, I'm wired for hours.
