Hello, new to the forum.

Post by FreemasonCyclist » Tue Jul 15, 2008 9:50 pm

Hello all. My name is John. I am new to the forum but not to sleep apnea or a CPAP. I'd like to share my knowledge & experience as well as ask some questions if you don't mind me joining you.

In fact I have some things I'd like to share & some questions to ask once the introductions are done. Shall I post them in this thread or create a seperate one?

Thank you.

This is an open forum, dedicated to the help and support of CPAP users. All are welcome to post, with the only requirement being a reasonable amount of decorum. I would suggest that you register if you haven't and post your equipment for others to see. Otherwise, feel free to post your questions, advice and experiance. And welcome to the forum!!

Welcome, when you fill in you profile please use text not icon form, much less confusion, and more people will see what you use for equiptment. The Yellow lightbulb & FAQ can help a lot as well as asking questions. Jim

Welcome to the forum! It's a lively bunch here
Best way to post questions is to start a new thread, and make the subject line indicative of the type of question/comment.
So, tell us, how long have you been on CPAP, how's it working out for you? And as Goofproof says, it's nice if you share your eqipment details, then its easier for people to respond to your questions if they already know what you're using.
Enjoy the board!

Welcome!

Will you show us the secret freemason handshake?

Yes, you can post on this thread or a new one.

Welcome to the board, Cyclist!

As Jim (goofproof) mentioned...if you'll click the yellow lightbulb at the top of this page ("Our Collective Wisdom") you can get a good start catching up on many past topics.

I think Mile High Sleeper's blog has some of the best info about "cpap" I've ever read. Great for experienced users as well as people newly diagnosed with OSA:
Mile High Sleeper's great information resource for cpap users.

Sure, start new topics about anything you want to share or talk about.

Welcome again, John! We chatted a bit in live chat last night w/FreeMasonCyclist.

And ha, ha, you Respironics folks, John now has a Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage and have been very pleased w/it so far! But he's ecumenical, he had a Respironics for several years and its still working.

Hi FMC

Cool to have another cyclist on this forum. I am trying to get back into cycling as a way of getting rid of the excess weight I gained from lack of energy. We chatted last night as well, but it is good to be reminded of this wonderful to use the energy I am slowly getting back.
