Hose Management

Post by oakmont » Sun Jul 13, 2008 12:14 pm

I've seen 2 products, the Hose Buddy and the Knight Stand. The hose buddy looks very flimsy for 60 dollars and the zero documentation on the knightstand.com website makes me leary...

Has anyone found a sturdy, quality product (price isnt issue with my health) that you are using to keep your hoses from wrapping around your neck while you sleep?

You might want to just make your own, or have a handyman friend make it for you. These links can give you some ideas. There are also simple ways to hang the hose that don't involve a "stand":

Before I got on the hose, it IMMEDIATELY seemed logical to me that the hose should be dangled from above the head.

I tried that once I got on the hose. Found it way more bother than it was a comfort.

I just route the hose over my head, off the top of the pillow, runs along the crack between the mattress top and the headboard, and off the bed to the left to the machine.

Works really well for me.

HOWEVER... I sleep alone. If you have to take another person into consideration, then your mileage may vary.

Cheers,
Babs

I did the same Babs, then got the idea to put a picture hanger just above the headboard and run the hose behind hang it on the hook and over the headboard.

It's an 8' with plenty of hose to move around. For the hook part, just a key ring and velcro strap on the hose, and one of those safety hanger hooks that keep the ring from slipping out. BTW, I keep the machine on my floor.

It's going to be okay in the end; if it's not okay, it's not the end.

The HoseBuddy is pretty sturdy. Don't be deceived by the pics. I like it.
