Hi again. My AHI has been much higher lately. I thought it was because I had been sleeping on my back after surgery, but I've been sleeping mostly on my side lately and my AHI has been around 5 or 6 and last night it was 7. Does this mean I should raise my pressure? My pressure has been 6.5 - 9
change pressure needed?
Re: change pressure needed?
You didn't give us much information to go on, but if you're not having massive leakage, increasing the pressure sounds like a "probability". Do you have an "Auto" machine or straight pressure CPAP? You mentioned a range of pressures, but sometimes people confuse their starting Ramp pressure with a "minimum pressure" setting on an Auto/APAP.Anonymous wrote:Hi again. What specific make/model of machine do you have? Since you know what your AHI numbers are, you must at least have a data-capable machine. Do you have software or are you getting your numbers from the machine's LCD?
Mask info might help, too.
Sleeping on one's back is usually worse for increased Apnea/Hypopnea events.
