Hi
I have long time issues with allergies and they have once again gone haywire. When this happens, I struggle with breathing through the nasal pillows sytem.
Yes I've told the Sleep doc but he tells me that the machine should still work if I gave it time. Well I have tried time and time again (over a period of 19+ months) and found that when there's trouble with the allergies, there's trouble in using the nasal pillows. I find that a mask that allows me to use my mouth to breathe is my only way to continue breathing. In changing apparatus I have also found that the lower pressures used on the pillows doesnt quite cut it with the larger mask.
It was suggested I try adjusting the pressure just two or three measures. I have tried playing with my machine but it doesnt seem to want to allow me to make this change - even temporarily (as when allergies die down enough to clear my nasal passages, I return to the nasal pillows system).
However I need directions (STEP BY STEP) on how to change the CPAP Pressure - for when I am using the larger mask. (I'm using the Remstar Auto M series CPAP)
In case you're wondering why I havent gone to the pros to do this,
I've contacted my PCP, I've given it time, he didnt hear me when I said I cant move the air in and out effectively -and the sleep doc is on vacation - his partner is too.
resetting REMSTAR AUTO M series pressures???
