humidity tank cracking

Diffrent item but similar results. I was using Arm & Hammer Hydrogen Peroxide tooth paste with my Sonicare tooth brush and the plastic tooth brush heads kept cracking where you tighten them down. Called Phillips and they asked me what tooth paste I used and they said that was the cause. Not a chemist but agree with the others, eliminate the Vicks and see if the problem goes away.

Monte,
You might want to check in to the pur sleep discussions, one of Bret's oils is a strong eucalyptus scent. The diffuser places the scent at the intake to the machine and you get a strong Vapor rub smell which might do the trick for you with out exposing the tank to the petrolatum base.
