Are you using a heated humidifier? Without my heated humidifier my nose was constantly running (with some bleeding) and my eyes teared up all day...total misery, but not a 'cold'.

Wonder if you are experiencing allergies? Is it better or worse while wearing cpap?

I take singular for my allergies and am proned to having sinus infections ever since I was a little girl. During summer break I would be in the doctors office for sinus infections while the other kids were outside playing. Anyway I went to stay with my sister for a week and her sister in law brought her son and didn't tell her he was sick with a fever. So Everybody there got sick(Me, my sister, brother in law, their three kids and my dad.) I started out with the sore throat, coughing, sneezing, stuffed nose, achey, fever, ect.. but I won't go away! I think maybe the cpap is causing it all to be backed up in my head, as I had problems with this without cpap, I think it's making it worse. Although it feels the same with it on, but I have never had a cold this long. My mom said maybe I should go a few days without a cpap, but my oxygen level goes down to 58% and don't want to go back there. I am terrified to go without my mask now. I go to see an ENT July 2, which happens to be my stepdad's doctor which he highly recommend. I blew my nose today and there was some blood so I think either my nasal membranes are irritated or I have a sinus infection. I have a z pack from a few weeks ago, because I had a infection but it went away on it's on or so I thought. If I am not better by sunday I am going to start taking it. All I know is I feel terrible!! Not to mention my monthly friend is visting, so I feel extra crappy! Sorry to go on.

Have you tried lowering your humidifier setting? It can really 'congest' some people if it's too high (or warm), and sometimes a cooler, dryer atmosphere works better.

You probably have allergies, do you have a fever? I have allergies 24/7 and use OTC meds nightly. This season is the worst until fall then it's worse yet. Nothing keeps me off the hose, and use the fine filter in your XPAP. Jim

You had better contact you doctor and have your condition diagnoses. A sinus infection may be a counterindication for using cpap. And painful teeth certainly hint at more the plain congestion. A sinus infection means you have bacteria and pus in your sinuses. Your sinuses are pretty near your ear and brain - having pressurized aire blow that stuff further in may not be too good for you.

I would not rely on either self diagnosis or forum diagnosis if I were feeling like that.

I hope things get sorted out soon for you!

Sounds like a sinus infection to me. I agree with Ozij, time to see a doctor. Don't wait till July, go now.
