TGIF!!! Friday Rants and Raves!!
OK, well, let's see how this goes....
I am a moderator on another (automotive) forum (if you look at my Avatar, you might even be able to figure it out). One of the things we do is a Friday Rants and Raves thread. Gives us a little chance to vent and to personalize. I"m going to try to see if the tradition catches on here, too. If you don't want to participate, so be it. I hope I don't get massively flamed for this! So here it goes:
Rants:
* Boss is a flaming idiot
* Work stunk this week
* Efforts to tape mouth shut to relieve mouth breathing unsuccessful (worst night of leaks ever!)
* Bottom of nose red from getting used to the Opus
* Cpap.com order not here yet for my straps to modify the Opus
Raves:
* This work week went very fast!
* No plans this weekend...relaxation time!
* My 16 month old son is starting to understand what you are saying and react. Too cute!!!
* Liberty mask on order, so far no opposition from the insurance company (fingers crossed!)
* Wife and mother in law are making me padding sleeves for my opus today. Yay!
* Second week of opus and it's allowing me to sleep on side and face comfortably!
Wearing: Salmon colored polo shirt, dark blue jeans, clogs (yes clogs, I couldn't be bothered with work shoes today!)

Love the idea, here goes with mine:
1. Had to listen to msgs on answering machine at work from a very disgruntled ex employee, making threats to the owners.
2. A bunch of little dogs constantly messing in their kennels, like they are not potty-trained. Then they give u this smirk..
3. Couldn't keep up with housework and laundry this week.
4. The mailman hasn't delivered the new book my daughter orderd for me for Mother's Day!
Now that feels better! The weekend is upon us!

1. I am so behind at work because I'm busy foofing about on cpaptalk.com that I am losing sleep worrying about the work stuff I didn't get done this week.
2. It's going to be 88 degrees here today. No one has A/C in the PNW. I feel sweat breaking out just typing this.
3. I'm not ready for the big reenactment event tomorrow, and I still have to get my clothes together, buy food, get the car packed, and try to get a decent night's sleep.
Can I call in sick to work today?
LOL,
Babs

Rants:
1) Had my first migraine since moving to the PNW and I forgot how freaking painful they are! I'm still a bit light/sound sensitive and it sucks.
2) It's going to be 97 degrees today!
3) It's been five months since I hurt my foot and I'm still not up for a hike this weekend.
4) my jeans are really tight. (see #3)
5) I'm extremely behind on a project and client is making cranky noises.
Raves:
1) My new petite comfort gel mask is soooo much more comfortable than the mirage micro and it's a lot easier to fall asleep. It's almost... comforting to have it on.
2) My foot is still getting better and I can finally fit it into most of my shoes. I totally credit CPAP for this!
3) First time in 15 years my visible psorisis... isn't visible. No more ugly red marks on my scalp line! YAY! Thank you CPAP!!

TGIF!!! Friday Rants and Raves!!
I'll rant and rave!
Rants:
1. 100 degrees here Thursday, Friday AND forecast 100 for Saturday. A/C in house decided to quit!
2. New to CPAP and nose still hurts! Hate my mask.
3. Mom-in-law is a ten mile drive one way and wanted me to bring her a dozen eggs. Mind you...she is 84 and doesn't drive.
4. Gasoline is $3.96 a gallon!!!
Raves:
1. New to CPAP TALK and received excellent advice!
2. My own Mom who lives close to my Mom-in-law will take Mom-in-law eggs!
3. New Profile Lite mask on order to replace the OptiLife Nasal pillows.
4. Weather forecast to cool to 87 next Tuesday! Hope so...A/C repair guy can't get here for three weeks!

Rant: Five people were laid off at work today.
Rave: I wasn't one of the five, and my job's pretty secure.
Rant: My wife's been unemployed for over a year.
Rave: My wife starts her new job next week, I hear the money jingling.
Rant: I could really use a stimulus check right about now.
Rave: Ooops! I forgot, we've already spent it.
Rant: This really has been kind of a sucky week.
Rave: This is gearing up to be a great weekend.
Rant: I have to go back to work Monday, to face a pile of things to do.
Rave: I get to go back to work Monday, to face a pile of things to do.
Ah! Such is life. Glad I have my CPAP so I can live to experience it.

Actually I had a long post here at first. All the raves were between 9:15 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. while I was with female clients in some swanky places.Needsdecaf wrote:Apparently no Raves.rooster wrote:No complaints today.
Or is that your Rave?
All the rants were after 4:00 when I came home to my wife.
My wife saw the post and boy did I edit it down to nothing in quick time.
Oops, gotta hurry again.
