Billmyinsurance doesnt take new cust- any other options??

Post by CarrieS » Mon May 12, 2008 2:42 pm

They arent taking any new accounts with insurance. I havent been able to find a local DME who sells the Headrest - is there anyway to order one with my insurance and without fronting cash?

Hi There,

Not sure I understand your question. It sounds like the Dr. you want locally isn't taking new patients? If that is the case, check with your insurance company and have them suggest other options.

If you are looking for a DME that will bill to your insurance, you might try checking with your insurance provider as well. I think most DME's would be glad to be set up as your vendor for equipment. I can't understand whyu one wouldn't want to. With my insurance, it was my Dr. that set up who I do business with by insurance. I do business with some other internet options, but always with cash.

Hope I helped. If not explain a little more and I bet someone can.

Isn't this the bunch that have been sending out letters to their customers in California, Florida and several other states telling them they could no longer sell to them with no other explanation. Sounds like a business that may not be long in business.

I don't know of any other place that would sell and charge insurance but I seem to remember on a previous post someone provided a link to someone that still did it. I will see if I can find it. You might check this link: viewtopic.php?t=29806&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

My understanding is that is just a "billmyinsurance" issue it is not any change in law or state regulations, you can order from other suppliers and they take insurance and will bill it for you and ship to California, you can try:

http://www.cpap-supply.com/v/CPAP-Insurance.asp
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

Thanks and keep the help coming. Cpap-supply will bill your insurance but they first place thr order on your bank card and then they cancel the transactions once insurance goes through however in the meantime that money is taken from your Avaliable balance although it stays pending the bank takes it from you until the order is cancelled. Worst case I can do this I just cant believe there isnt an easier route, God forbid my DME just order me the thing

My DME will take my insurance but they dont carry the Headrest, nor do any locak DMEs it seems.
Billmyinsurance is the one who know longer bills insurance, and I wondered if somewhere else online does.
